What is The Shield about?
The story of an inner-city Los Angeles police precinct where some of the cops aren't above breaking the rules or working against their associates to both keep the streets safe and their self-interests intact.
Relentless LA cops bend every rule, blurring lines between justice and self-interest in a bleak, pulpy world.
Suspenseful. A full-attention watch at full speed. Emotionally it is devastating.
Streaming on Prime Video and Hulu.

Three questions
- Is The Shield scary?
- Only a little. The Shield has a few tense moments, nothing that follows you to bed.
- How gory is The Shield?
- Graphic gore and brutal violence. If graphic gore is a dealbreaker, skip it.
- What is The Shield rated, and is it OK for kids?
- Rated TV-MA, and it earns it: moderate sex and nudity, brutal violence, and frequent strong language. Not one for kids.
