What is What We Do in the Shadows about?
A documentary-style look into the daily (or rather, nightly) lives of a group of vampires in Staten Island who have “lived” together for hundreds and hundreds of years.
Ancient vampires navigate modern Staten Island, their nightly squabbles and absurd antics captured in a witty, campy mockumentary.
Darkly comic and absurdist, with dry wit. A late-night trip at a measured pace. Emotionally it carries some weight.
Streaming on Hulu.
