A marsh girl's isolated life turns suspenseful as romance and melancholy intertwine with a murder investigation.
Romantic. A date-night pick at a measured pace. Emotionally it is heavy.
Streaming on Hulu.
Heads up on moderate sex and nudity. That is past what the PG-13 on the box suggests. Beyond that, mild language and some violence.
Our estimate: fine from about 16, higher than the PG-13 suggests, because of the sex and nudity.
How we rate: an AI reads what is known about each title and tags it 0 to 3; we check the tags against a hand-rated set and correct them by hand when readers tell us. Estimates, not a scene-by-scene review. Spot a mistake? Tell us.
Abandoned by her family, Kya raises herself all alone in the marshes outside of her small town. When her former boyfriend is found dead, Kya is instantly branded by the local townspeople and law enforcement as the prime suspect for his murder.
It leaves the ending open to interpretation.
